Viral Hits is one of Apple Music's most expansive playlists, spanning 29 different localizations across the globe. To support it within Generate — the team's in-house tool used to export large volumes of localized assets, often 100+ per request — I was tasked with uploading and configuring the entire Viral Hits design system from the ground up.

The scope of this project was significant. With 29 localizations, 18 static and motion graphics, and four distinct colorways, the total asset count came out to 2,088 individual assets — all of which needed to be accurately exported, organized, and uploaded into Generate's backend. Over the course of a few months, and through multiple rounds of change requests, I worked through the full build until Viral Hits was completely production-ready for the team.

The impact extended well beyond the playlist itself. Successfully navigating Generate's backend opened the door to a broader support role — I began assisting with the upload and configuration of additional Radio Shows and Podcasts whenever the team needed extra hands. It also established me as the team's primary Generate tester, a role I continue to hold — running weekly tests on newly added shows and feature modifications before anything moves forward to QA.
